Installation
Lifting
of the machine
While lifting of the machine by crane, proper
care should be taken to prevent any damage to the machine’s paint & its
components. Use suitable wooden blocks or felt packing when ever there are chances of the damage to machine or machine
part due to use of rope or chain
Please ensure that suitable capacity ropes or
chains being used while the lifting of the machine. The machine should be
lifted in balanced position. The lifting or placement of the machine must be
carried out by competent and authorized person only.
Unpacking And Cleaning
Once the machine is brought in shop floor , for
unpacking of the machine proper care should be taken. In case of machine with
the case packing, top direction is marked on the wooden case. It is suggested
that the packing case is opened soon after its receipt and verification is made
for the standard and optional accessories mentioned in the packing list.
Prior
to dispatch all slides all unpainted parts, handles etc. are coated with anti
corrosive / rust preventive chemicals.
This should be carefully removed and wiped dry and then all bright parts of the
machine should be oiled immediately
Foundation
The machine can give satisfactory performance
only, if it is put on proper foundation and proper leveling of machine has been
done, the foundation should be prepared accurately and sufficient time should
be allowed for concrete slab to fully cured and dried.
The depth of foundation
slab should be directly decided by the users, keeping in mind the soil
condition and surrounding atmosphere. The load bearing capacity of soil should
be taken in account for preparing the
foundation. Prepare for the machine a firm foundation which will not distort or
settle down in the course of time. Distortion of the foundation may be caused
by changes in dumped soil as well as by underground water. Determine depth of
the foundation carefully in accordance with local soil conditions
Leveling
The leveling of machine is very important and
should be carried our with proper care.
The accuracy of spirit level is recommended as 0.020mm/ Mtr. After
proper leveling of machine. The foundation bolts are to be grouted in larger
holes with 1:3 cement and sand mixture.
Sufficient time should be allowed for the concrete to cure. The foundation
bolts are then tightened without undue force.
Electric
Connection
If the machine is supplied in powered version
then internal wiring of the electrical motor has been done in the machine. Electrical power supply of three phase and
proper earthing is required to run the machine.
Please check the machine body with tester for leak aging of power for
safety reasons. Press ON Push button to the start the power supply.
Electric Switch Gear
& Lead
Our machines
are provided with precision electrical equipments which ensures dependable
operations and long life when handle with reasonable care. Switch box covers
should be kept closed to prevent dust, direct swarf and other moisture from
entering them. Clean switch gears at intervals of three to six months depending
upon the condition of operation. Check carefully seal of lids and cover with
gaskets and sealing compound. Brush off dust and remove seals with scraper. Do
not file or use emery paper cloth on contacts. Contact surfaces should be clean
(Rough condition of contact surfaces does not contribute to better conduction
or service life. Replace contacts when the contact pressure becomes uneven, too
weak or when the spring compression is less then 0.5mm.
Idle
Running Of The Machine
At the time of dispatch of machine, the speeds
are set for the lowest value. You are requested to ensure that these positions
are maintained at the time of starting of machine to avoid any accident.
Lubrication
Proper lubrication of the machine is a matter of
vital importance. The retention of accuracy, satisfactory service and longevity
directly depends on its proper
lubrication and the care it receives from the operator. If proper lubrication
is neglected it will result in impairment in accuracy and serviceable life of
machine. It is advisable to lubricate the machine at regular intervals. The
best practice is to fill each oil hole in sequence so that the regular oiling
becomes a habit and no lubrication point is overlooked
Dirt
and work chips should be brushed away before oiling to prevent them to enter
the oil holes.
Safety
Procedures
The safety while using DRILL machine is very important . DRILL owners, operators, mold setters, and
maintenance personnel must realize that every day, all day, safety is a vital
aspect of their jobs.
If your main concern is productivity, remember this. Loss of
production always follows an accident
involving a press.
Ø
loss of a
skilled operator (temporarily or permanently)
Ø
breakdown of
shop morale
Ø
costly damage
to press and/or tooling
Ø
down time.
An effective press safety program is not only humanitarian, but
is also economically sound. Organize a safety committee or group, and hold
regular meetings. Promote this group from the management level. Through this
group, the safety program can be continually reviewed, maintained, and
improved.
Keep minutes or a record of the meetings Hold daily press
inspections in addition to regular maintenance checks. You will keep your
presses safe for production and exhibit your commitment to safety.
Please read and use this manual as a guide and strictly follow
the instruction given ahead in this manual.
Operator’s
Responsibility :
It doesn't end with fast and efficient production. The press
operator usually has the most daily contact with the press and intimately knows
its capabilities and limitations. Plant and personal safety is sometimes
forgotten in the desire to meet incentive rates, or through a casual attitude
toward machinery formed over a period of months or years. Your employer
probably has established a set of safety rules in your workplace. Those rules,
this manual, or any other safety information will not keep you from being
injured while operating your press.
“ONLY
YOU” can make safety work for you by constantly
thinking about what is safe and what is not. It is often the "just
once" that a press operator reaches into a press to remove or adjust
material, or rest a hand in the ram area while talking to a co-worker that
results in serious injury. Learn and always use safe press operation. Cooperate
with co-workers to promote safe practices. Immediately report any potentially
dangerous situation to your supervisor or appropriate person.
